I'm not familiar if Sonar offers a Track MIDI Transformer like Cubase for example. What comes to my mind is to emulate the Logic VEP Multiport trick sending CC98 & CC99 before each MIDI message. What will you do?ĭo you know an alternative way to optimize my workflow? I'd really like to have 1 instance of VEP 64 and 1 of VEP 32, in my DAW instead of opening thousands of windows. Every instance of VEP has a bit of memory and CPU footprint and if I open 2 kontakts in two different VEP instances I think they will take an entire amount of memory because basically they are different threads (but I'm not so sure). Open a dozen of VEP instances, but this appears to me a really bad thing. I can still choose to use the audio loopback feature of my soundcard or VEP to the sequencer audio thing (in this way I can have more control in my DAW of the returning audio) Keep 1 Instance of VEP and still use LoopBE30, which behaviour sometimes was a bit unpredictable. VEP has multiple Midi Ports, but I don't know how they are accessible to people who don't use Cubase (that supports VST3). Now I have Vienna Ensemble Pro and Sonar (in Windows 7 圆4), which doesn't support VST3. I recently bought Vienna Ensemble Pro, in order to keep my DAW organized and fully functional.īefore this I used a simple VST host like Reaper, with the audio loopback feature of RME 9632 and LoopBE30, the only 64-bit Virtual Midi Cable that allowe me to communicate between the 32 bit and 64 bit programs.
